API / DB Developer

Location: Remote - King of Prussia, PA area

Responsibilities

  • Work with other development team members, product managers, and QA in
            developing software solutions.
  • Develop well-functioning, high quality software.
  • Lead the development group in the development of serverless Node APIs,
            and database design.
  • Design, develop, test, and operate applications in accordance with
           established best practices.
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
  • Create security and data protection settings.
  • Write technical documentation.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience as a software developer.
  • Proven experience as an API and Database Developer.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with developing web applications with
           service-oriented framework, Microservices, Rest APIs and Lambda
           functions.
  • Knowledge of multiple back-end languages including JS/TS and Java.
  • Experience with ORMs (Sequelize, GraphQL).
  • Experience with Message Queuing (SQS).
  • Experience integrating external services like Stripe, Hellosign, Powerlytics,
            etc.
  • Experience building and operating data warehouses and analytical
            databases.
  • Experience with source control management systems and continuous
            integration / deployment environments (GitLab).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent
            experience.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies including Scrum and
            Kanban.
  • Experience with multi-threading and concurrency.
  • Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented
            application development techniques and theories.
  • Internally motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a
            team environment.
  • Strong communication skills with both internal team members and company
            departments.
  • Strong initiative to find ways to improved solutions, systems, and processes.
